It’s not just a “Stroke of Luck”
Ever wonder why there are times in your life when you feel like you are in a “flow?” It’s the feeling you get when everything just goes “right.” Your workday runs smoothly, the kids go to bed without complaining, and any obstacles are easily overcome. What is that, you might wonder. And how do I keep it going? Not only that, but you start to notice synchronistic events—a chance encounter with someone you were just thinking about, your favorite song playing on the radio when you’re feeling nostalgic, the pair of shoes you wanted going on sale for half off just as you walk in. It feels good, right? It renews your faith that there may be “someone looking out” for you.
What if I told you that you could increase the occurrence of these moments? Through intention and daily practice of a few Tools, you can enhance what Phil calls "The Field." Everyone has a Field, even though you can’t see it. It’s the vast network of interconnectedness among all sentient beings in the Universe. It’s as real as our city skyscrapers and freeways, yet far more impactful on our lives.
By practicing principles of non-attachment and self-restraint—two of the four core principles of The Field—we increase this auspiciousness and our faith in higher forces. Higher forces refer to a belief that there is a power greater than you at work in the universe. Witnessing the majesty of the Rocky Mountains or a seedling breaking through the ground may touch that place inside you that says, "There is something at work here." God, Source, Higher Power—whatever name you choose—can create space in our daily lives for miracles to find us.
Of course, our lives are never perfect, and we will have to realign and endure tough times. However, our ability to see past adverse events and remember to ignite the Field helps us become co-creators with the universe.
